Helpful Tips

Do’s

  • Report any claim, or potential claim as soon as possible to your agent or Richmond National Insurance.
  • Take photos where applicable. If there are any witnesses, make sure to get their information.
  • If the matter involves any crime, theft or vandalism, contact the police.
  • Preserve and protect any damaged property from further destruction. If you need to make temporary repairs, make sure to keep your receipts.
  • When reporting the claim or potential claim: Include the policy number, name/address/phone of the insured, claimant(s) and any witnesses. Give us the date of loss, location of loss and a full description.
  • Contact us immediately if you receive any legal papers.
